As of autumn 2019, Event Genius (and the consumer facing ticketing website, Ticket Arena) became part of the Festicket family. Event Genius now represents the most complete ticketing and technology offering in the live events industry, allowing us to serve everyone from mega festivals and large music events to club promoters and independent gig venues.
Event Genius is the end-to-end technology that powers everything we do. Servicing events of all types and sizes, the platform brings together ticketing, POS and cashless payment services, access control, travel and packages, marketing, data insights and fan analytics, all under one roof.

Ticket Arena is our second consumer facing website and presents the versatility to sell events of all types, from club nights, live music and comedy to theatre and food and drink. In 2019 Ticket Arena was named Best Ticketing Company (Event Production Awards), whilst also being awarded Reviews.io’s Top Retailer Of The Year award.

In 2008, immersed in the Leeds music scene, Event Genius and Ticket Arena founder Reshad Hossenally launched the ticketarena.co.uk website from his university bedroom to provide music fans and promoters with a better way to buy and sell tickets online. Over the years that followed, the business developed it’s Event Genius platform allowing organisers to streamline and simplify their ticketing and event management needs, first specialising in clubbing before expanding into live music, festivals, food & drink and sports.
Whilst Reshad was busy in Leeds, 200 miles away in London in 2011, Festicket founders Zack Sabban and Jonathan Younes were organising a group trip to the world famous Coachella festival. They asked themselves essential questions: "Should we go camping, or stay at a hotel?", "Is this hostel convenient? Does it provide the best value for money?", "Should we go for a VIP ticket or General Admission?", and "Should we book local transportation?". The planning and booking process was painful, time consuming and very expensive!
They didn’t make it to Coachella that year. Instead, they started on a mission: To gather the festival and live music community around a central booking platform to make things more open, aware and connected for fans around the globe. After a few weeks of brainstorming (and quite a few Skype sessions), Festicket was born.
Fast forward to 2019 and Festicket are looking to bolster their technical offering and move into the primary ticketing space. After a series of meet ups at ILMC that year, Zack and Reshad had lit a spark and by August the partnership was confirmed.
Combining specialities from both camps, the new Event Genius offering, creates an end-to-end platform for organisers and fans alike, providing the most complete offering in the live entertainment industry today. The platform brings together technology and expertise including POS and cashless payment services, ticketing, accommodation, travel and packages, marketing, data insights and analytics, access control, fan engagement tools and more in order to plug a gap in the market that no other organisation has addressed to date.
Over the course of 2020, when the events industry was all but shut down due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we invested heavily to integrate the two product suites and deliver on the promise of a new, improved, fully end-to-end (and now COVID-ready) Event Genius platform.
The response since, from our partners - new and old - is something we're extremely proud of and a strong 2021 saw new offices open in Los Angeles and Melbourne as the business continues to grow.

The events industry is inbuilt into our DNA and that extends to the people who work here. It may sound like a cliché but we can’t get events out of our heads.
