It’s always an exciting time when we get to welcome a new member to the Festicket & Event Genius family, especially when they share the passion for live events and the ambitions for the future of the industry which are at the heart of everything we do.

So we wanted to take the chance to shine the spotlight on the people helping make the magic happen and find out their story, their ambitions, the live entertainment experiences that shaped them, and more.

First up is Robert Fosterman, Event Genius & Festicket’s brand new Client Relationship Director who brings with him a wealth of experience from roles at the likes of Ticketmaster and Dewynters.

Why did you choose to join Festicket & Event Genius?
To be part of such a well known company within the ticketing industry and assist in the changes that are set to take place over the coming months was an amazing opportunity and one I wanted very much to be a part of.

What attracted you to the live events and festival industry? Or what do you enjoy most about the industry if you've previously been working in it?
Everyone loves the buzz of a live event and being able to work in such a fun and exciting industry was something I was keen to do. I spent the early part of my career qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor but knew that Real Estate wasn't what I wanted to do for the rest of my life so I made the change about ten years ago and have never looked back.

What do you hope to achieve at Festicket & Event Genius?
I very much look forward to helping the company on the next stages of its growth and contributing to its continued success.

What are you most excited about with regards to your new role here?
I am excited about working with such a great team and also helping them develop their careers as we all take on new challenges.

As a fan, what is your favourite festival or gig memory?
I am lucky to have experienced some amazing things in my career, but two really stand out. Seeing Jay Z perform at the Royal Albert Hall with an orchestra was incredible. Also seeing Guns and Roses, who I had always wanted to see, at the Olympic Stadium a couple of years ago. They didn't disappoint.

What is your favourite onsite working memory?
Without doubt being pitch side for the first pitch when the MLB brought the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox to play at the Olympic Stadium. It was a massive project which we worked on for well over a year and being there seeing a sold out stadium and all the pomp which comes with an American sport, I will never forget.

Robert will join us in our London HQ but we also have offices across the world, including across Europe, Australia and North America. We’re a close-knit team of passionate music fans and event-goers dedicated to making the industry a better place for fans and organisers alike, and are always on the lookout for other like-minded individuals to join the family!
